First place in each category will receive a Wacom Art Tablet, and 2nd and 3rd place in each category will receive a Colossal Children's Art Set with over 200 supplies.

 

CONTEST RULES:

  1. Please, only one entry per child.
  2. You must be between the ages of 5 and 11 in order to submit a caption for cartoon #1. You must be between the ages of 12 and 18 to submit a caption for cartoon #2.
  3. In order to be considered, your caption should convey an environmental theme.
  4. Captions will be judged based on how well they capture the content of the cartoon. They will also be judged based on creativity and humor.
  5. Misspelled captions may be disqualified, so please be sure to spell-check your entries before sending them in.
  6. Captions should be short and no longer than 3 sentences.
  7. Submissions should be sent in an e-mail to staley@currclick.com by 5:00 p.m. CST, April 13th, 2009. Submissions should NOT include the actual cartoon, but only the text for the cartoon and the number of the cartoon for which you are submitting. *IMPORTANT:* If you are submitting for cartoon #2, please make clear where your caption should appear: below the cartoon, in the bottle, or both.
  8. Submissions MUST include name, age, and a short bio about the entrant, including what the entrant does to try and make a positive impact on the environment.
  9. If you are one of the 3 finalists, feel free to encourage your co-ops friends and family members to vote for your caption. (Voting runs April 22nd-April 29th.)Voters are only allowed 5 votes per account. You must be a CurrClick member in order participate in the voting process.

 

PRIZES AND NOTIFICATION:

  1. You will NOT be notified that we received your submission. Entries that are not chosen as finalists will not be notified.
  2. The top three entrants in each category will be notified on Wednesday, April 22nd and will have their prizes mailed to them by May 15th.
  3. The cartoon captions with the most votes in each age category will receive a Wacom Computer Art Tablet, worth $70 in value. Click here for details.
  4. The 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each category will receive a Colossal Children's Art Set with over 200 supplies, worth $50 in value. Click here for details.
