This is the 2nd semester of a year-long course which covers 16 modules. The 2nd semester will cover modules 9-16. Students may take this class without having taken the 1st-semester class since this semester will cover the modules on anatomy. New students are welcome.

The textbook to be used is Exploring Creation with General Science, 2nd edition.  (Textbooks are not included.  There are several online dealers that sell them.) The class will meet once a week. Please allow 1 1/2 hours for class.

Students will be responsible for answering the On Your Own and Study Guide questions after reading the module and participating in the review of these questions in class.  Each module also has a test which will be graded.  During the year, students will learn how to write good lab reports and several will be assigned for the student to complete and turn in for grading.

Some of the experiments will be shown during class but some may have to be completed by the student at home. There are video clips that are available to view outside of class.

This class will be taught from a biblical, creationist point of view.

About the teacher:

My name is Debbie Mackin with HIS Creation Science Online! I received my BS in Medical Technology degree from the University of Tampa and my clinical certification from Duke University Medical Center, Department of Allied Health. After working in clinical labs for almost 12 years, I left to be a full time at home mom at the birth of my oldest. I have 2 children and have always homeschooled them (one graduated in May 2014 and the other will graduate in 2016). I have a passion to help kids see our Awesome Creator through the study of science! I am a firm believer that science and faith do not need to be separate but rather the study of science can confirm scripture. By studying the creation around us, we can better know our Creator. I look forward to seeing you in class as we learn more about our Awesome Creator!

Yes. Each student can register. I've had that policy for quite a while now. I might change that in the future but as of now, please just add each student on when you register, using the drop-down menu at checkout. Make sure each of your students has a profile before registering. You can go to the ACCOUNT tab and edit your student profiles there. In order to submit assignments, they each need a profile.

I noticed that that the class may be shared among family members but what does that mean? Do I enroll one of my children and all of them can watch but only the one registered will have his/her assignments graded and participates or all will participate and have assignments graded? I have 3 children (ages 12, 12 & 13) who are interested in this class. Thank you!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
