Lovely to Behold: The Priceless Treasure of Godly Womanhood

Godly womanhood is a priceless treasure in this day and age, where Biblical truths are abandoned for lies of the enemy of our souls.  Embrace God’s call to womanhood, His Father’s heart for you, and you inheritance as a sister in God’s forever family!  Learn to abide and bear fruit!  Look at godly women who prayed, served, and befriended their mother-in-laws!  Live in undivided devotion to God as a single woman and enjoy married life!

Enjoy every season in your life, encouraged in your faith and growing in grace!  Lovely to Behold touches on all these principles and more straight from the Word of God.  Look up Scripture passages in these 20 lessons and apply them to your daily life!  Let God’s Word transform you so that you are lovely to behold!

Each lesson contains a Bible study and a short teaching on the priceless treasure of godly womanhood.  Look up the verses and answer the questions from the Scripture passage!  Like all the other ladies Bible study workbooks, the purpose of this study is not to put down what you think, but what the Bible is teaching on the topic!  There are a lot of verse and passages to look up, so take your time!  Linger in passages where you want to linger.  God will show you many things that are not covered in this book as you pray and ask Him for wisdom!  He is our Bible teacher and our life coach!

This workbook covers a lot of material.  It starts with the very basics with lessons on who you are, why God made you, how He has changed your life!  The lessons on abiding take you to the deeper level of walking with Jesus through walking step by step with Him!  Health and beauty, courtship, marriage, and the examples of three godly women in the Bible:  Ruth, Hannah and Rebekah.  We finish up the workbook with singleness, courtship, marriage and seasons of a woman’s life.

The most important part of this workbook is application to your life!  This book can be studied alone or with others.  If you study with others, I recommend everyone doing the lessons and home before the “Lovely to Behold” meeting and choosing parts of the lesson to discuss.  There are memory verses and group assignments to help you apply the truth in a fun way that will cause you to remember what you have learned.  The abiding project lasts all four weeks.  Please memorize the verses (in any version you prefer!)—as the Word of God dwells richly in our hearts, we are changed.  (226 pages)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
