Included is 1 history curriculum guide, including a list of books and other resources needed (parents can easily access most books at a local library or purchase them separately at reasonable prices)

Our elementary school history series, "Our History, HIS-Story," is a complete, stand-alone, inclusive history package.   Each guide is a year-long study of a period of history.
The purpose of this series is two-fold:  1) it strives to first establish the presence of African-Americans in light of Romans 8:28, and 2) it provides all readers--not only African-Americans--with an entire story as opposed to a snapshot of one era in this period of history.  Finally, although African-Americans are featured, this curriculum truly is inclusive.  There are stories of Native Americans, there are resources for understanding Asian-American immigration, and the stories behind the arrival and survival of all people in creating this great nation.    Included are stories of the immigration of Eastern Europeans, stories which help a young student understand Asian and Asian-American culture during World War II and the Vietnam War, and continued encounters with the everyday people who have become heroes and heroines in the greatest country in the world.

This information-packed curriculum will appeal to all learning styles.   The guide walks a student through history using books selected in part for exquisite illustrations and photography.    Its read-aloud approach to learning brings to life (through Mom and Dad) the stories of everyday people whom God used to make America beautiful, and allows opportunities for parents and students to bond while reading and learning together.  There are also fun hands-on activities to enhance the subjects presented and to afford more kinesthetic learners the opportunity to gather the knowledge in their own way.  Get ready to enjoy learning!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
