PLEASE NOTE: There are 12 lessons in this course plus 4 optional bonus lessons, which may be completed especially by those seeking high school credit. The first and last lessons are taught LIVE by the instructor at the beginning and at the end of the course, and the rest of the lessons and  are to be done by the student(s) independently or with parental assistance, if needed. It is optional for HYBRID students to attend the two live classes and if they can't join us live, they can watch via recording. The instructor will send reminders before each of the two live classes with the live class link. About the Teacher

Gloria Brooks, aka Natureglo, is founder and director of Natureglo's eScience, an online learning center that serves homeschoolers, schoolers and teachers virtually. She holds a BA in K-12 education and certificates for completing the Kamana I and II programs from the Wilderness Awareness School. She teaches from a neutral worldview. Her non-faith based courses welcome families from all faiths and worldviews. She has been teaching K-12 since 1997 and teaching outdoor education since 2003. Gloria is a progressive, alternative educator using project-based, hands-on and experiential learning techniques.

Neutral Worldview

Natureglo teaches from a neutral worldview. Instruction is non-faith based nor does she address origins in her teaching. However, some class instructional videos may come from varying worldviews, but without dogma or persuasion for students to embrace any particular worldview. Please be respectful of the variety of worldviews that are represented in the class and do not engage in debating/discussing worldviews/religious points-of-view during the live classes. Thank you.

All hybrid classes will be fully refunded if the withdrawal request is submitted before the kick-off session. If the withdrawal request is made within 24 hours of the kick-off session, the class will be refunded at 75%. If the withdrawal request is made more than 24 hours after kick-off session, no refund is available for that class.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
