Most writing students do today is done on a computer. Consequently, many don’t have the opportunity to practice the cursive handwriting style they learned when they were younger. If they don’t practice, however, they don’t develop neat cursive writing and often end up preferring print. Print is laborious and tedious when writing long essays; thus, it is important to practice cursive and become fluid with writing it neatly and legibly. By practicing a bit each day, writing cursive will become easier and easier. An added benefit to using Cursive Contemplations is it gives your older, maturing student an opportunity to draw near to God as they practice writing. This eBooks encourages students to write and memorize scripture while contemplating how to apply it to their lives. There are seven verses to be practiced over seven weeks. Students should practice each verse every day for four days. The first day, students learn a verse and read a devotion related to the verse. They then write the verse and complete an exercise related to the devotion. Each subsequent day, students complete new exercises, which may ask the student to pray, ponder or write something related to the devotion. Students are encouraged to use cursive handwriting when they write their thoughts. At the bottom of each page is an alphabet chart to remind students how to create each letter.
