"Give Thanks!" is a treasure trove of holiday readings. It's the perfect way to create not only excitement for Thanksgiving Day but also provide encouragement to be thankful at all times and in all circumstances. What a wonderful tradition to add to our family's store of holiday memories. Two thumbs (and two big toes!) UP for "Give Thanks!" Jill Stanish Thanks for all of these "great" recipes! Can't wait to try them!! J.T. I have wanted to approach Thanksgiving in a more purposeful way and I LOVE that you start 4 weeks ahead of time with small bite size pieces each day. In the past, I have either tried to dish up a heaping helping of Thanksgiving stories/facts just days before, or I've skipped it altogether (and struggled with guilt)! For our family, I can see it working best as a reading after supper or at bedtime. I liked your idea of sending Thanksgiving cards--what a wonderfully meaningful way to keep connected to those we won't see for the holiday. We had your husband's Grandmother's Corn Pudding today, Thanksgiving Day, and it was a BIG hit. It looks like this is going to be Thanksgiving tradition for us. Thank you so much for the recipe.=-) Sincerely, Jane |
