G’day Mate!
We have arrived in a hot new country -Australia. This is a land of stark beauty and contrasts. From uninhabited forests to deserts. From grassy plains to swamps. This continent boasts animals like no other - from the Kangaroo Rat to the Bilby, from Crocodiles to the Tasmanian Tiger. The birds that fly wild, are the most beautiful, colorful birds around, which many collectors pay large amounts for, to keep them in cages. We will be looking at the habitats and climate found in Australia, their nature conservancies, and how the animal’s environment is being threatened. We will learn about the most amazing of creatures - the monotremes - which are found nowhere else in the world, along with all the other wonderful creatures found there.
Get on your hiking boots, and gather your gear as you come on an outback walkabout with us. But be on the lookout - some of these animals have a bite that is worse than their bark.
