Ancient South America was a mixture of three distinct cultures. Many have heard the terms “Maya, Inca, or Aztec” but what does that mean to you? This book delves into the similarities and differences of each of these cultures. The entire society is looked at from top to bottom so the next time someone mentions those Aztecs didn’t have a chance against Spain- you’ll know what they are talking about- and if they are correct! This course is for 6th-8th grade students. There is a good deal of writing involved including a comparative analysis of the cultures. The course was created around a core set of books; however, the ambitious internet/library researcher should be able to use this course effectively without the core set of books because the questions included are not book specific. There are 120 pages in this book and that does include NOTEBOOKING pages to make those writing assignments more fun!
