This month's theme for the December Book Bag Bundle is the human body. For the Preschool through Kindergarten portion we have:
This month we are taking your little one past "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" and on an adventure that has them learning all about how to take care of their bodies from their head to their toes! They will get the inside scoop on their "insides" as they create an interactive book.
Your child will learn to be a germ buster as they focus on brushing their teeth and washing their hands with tons of fun activities and experiments!
Finally, your young learner will see how healthy food choices and exercise can help them keep their body strong and healthy! So come along for some fun as we learn all about taking care of our bodies!
For the First through Third portion we have:The theme of this month's Book Bag is "Windows into the Human Body." Your child will peak into different systems of the body and learn how to keep his body healthy.
The highlight of this month's book is a fun game called Bodyopoly. Your child will enjoy learning about his body as he collects Body Bucks in this exciting game.
Additionally, your child will apply his knowledge of fractions to the food pyramid and his understanding of adjectives to an art study of texture.
And, finally, in the Fourth and Beyond portion we have:
Curiosity is the fuel that motivates a child's learning. I remember how curious I was as a child about the workings of the human body, and it still fascinates me. I am continually in awe of God's creations!
Each year that I taught in the classroom, the questions were the same. There were always lots of them, but they ran along the same lines. The years prepared me for each one from "How much snot do we make in a day?", a cup approximately, to "Why do I have a navel?" , to remind you that you were connected to a life-giving force and to store your lint in to dig out later. Very few questions caught me by surprise. If I didn't know the answer, we'd all research the question.
The children would laugh, their eyes would open wider than usual, and I always had the sporadic "eww, gross". I hope my children came away with a desire to know more. I know I always did.
This month's eBook, "Common Questions and Answers about the Human Body", is reflective of those teaching times. I've provided lots of diagrams to learn the many parts of the human body and for you to print out to use as classroom posters. The matching assessment sheets can be used time and again as your children grow.
We at Teacher Book Bag hope you and your children enjoy the information in these Book Bags as much as we did writing it.
