PreK-K Book: This month we are heading down to the farm! There is more to the farm than just the animals you can see. This month your child will learn all about the machines that make farm work so much easier, how animals help us, how they can help on a farm, compare a farm to a city, and learn about the different ways that crops grow. They will sing a fun new song called Down on the Farm and create an interactive book as they search for all the farm animals. We think you will love the new layout we are featuring this month. The majority of this Book Bag is a lapbook, complete with photos, directions, and all the templates you need to showcase your child’s learning this month. The last portion of the Book Bag includes a variety of activities to extend your child’s learning as they work through the lapbook. So jump on your tractor and drive on down to the farm! It’s going to be a great journey!
1st-3rd Book: The theme of this month’s Book Bag is “A Taste of the Farm.” From farming around the world to the various types of farms, your child will get a good taste of the important role farming plays in our lives. This month’s highlight is a mini-lapbook about different types of farms. Your child will practice counting money with a file folder game called Market Money. Reading comprehension skills will be sharpened as your child practices drawing conclusions. E. B. White is featured in our Author’s Corner. In Artistic Expressions your child will explore the art element of shape. Finally, this month’s copywork section focuses on determination.
