Much has happened in the history of our country as the races have struggled through how to relate to each other. Some of it has been good - much of it has been very sad. I have not attempted to chronicle everything along the road to equity between the races - but to try to hit the high and low points along that path.

As I conducted this study, several different categories of events seemed to jump out at me: "Society", "Government", "Military", and "Sports". These categories are by no means exhaustive, or exclusive. I arranged the various events in one or more of these categories in an attempt to more clearly show what happened.

This particular edition is NOT illustrated, though I do hope to come out with an illustrated version in the near future.
