I loved the concept of this! Since I'm always looking to get more organized, I saw this Noah set and thought it would be perfect! While cute and some of the organizing sheets are cute, some of the graphics pixilate and are not clear at all and I was slightly disappointed that for the money (considering I was using my own ink and paper) there was not more choice, more pages and that the graphics were not clearer. Great concept! Good layout for the most part. :o)

A very complete booklet, with information and activities for a broad range of students. Includes some pretty scientific details about bird classification, and more basic information on bird anatomy and what makes an animal a bird (hint: it isn't because it flies!) Also has a number of learning activities, dot-to-dot, word puzzles, etc. Great for a multi-age group, or to be returned to again & again over a number of years!

This is the quotations appendix from Edith Nesbit's *Beautiful Stories from Shakespeare*, accompanied by several pages addressing copywork. There are enough quotations here for a good many months of copywork, dictation or discussion! Includes passages from Charlotte Mason.
If you already have *Beautiful Stories from Shakespeare* you already have all of these Shakespeare quotations, alphabetized by keyword (e.g. "contentment", "duty owing to ourselves and others", "honesty", etc.) but may find the discussion at the beginning of the book helpful all the same.
The quotations, unlike the stories themselves, are preserved in Shakespearian language (albeit with modernized spelling, as we generally see in contemporary printings of the Bard's plays.) These will be suitable for students who are ready to explore variations in the writing & speaking of English (e.g. dialect, non-standardized spelling, etc.)...

Connect the Thoughts Creative Writing I is an awesome curriculum! It is "just what the doctor ordered" for the student who has a fear of writing or is a reluctant writer. My daughter had a tremendous fear of writing after bad experiences while still in school. She no longer has a great fear of putting pen to paper and we have only covered half of Level I. I plan to continue using Connect the Thoughts curricula and would recommend it to anyone.

There was a template page missing for "what advice would you give me" and an incorrecct reference to the template page number. There are also a few instances in the directions were words were left out of sentences, as if they had just used the same directions for a similar lap book, but forgot to go back and fill in the blanks. Booklet #3 one of the graphic is turned the opposite direction for a flush booklet. These are a few examples of a good product that could have been great, but was done a little sloppy. I love the lapbook concept and was really excited about this project because we are moving overseas and it was a great activity to do with the grandparents before leaving. I just feel that educational material should have few mistakes....

Very nice lapbook. I personally see several graphics that limit it to specifically a Grandfather. It would be nice if it did not because then it could be used on any family member.

I have been doing history with the typical read, review worksheet, vocabulary, time line, map and test format. I have never been satisfied that my son was doing anything to really learn or more importantly care about history. This hands on fun and neatly organized format really did the trick. For the first time I really felt that once he completed this lapbook he had absorbed the Ancient Greece lifestyle and times. I can't wait to see the Ancient Rome lapbook. Next year I fully plan to do a lapbook every time one is available....

Math Mammoth, Grade 3
I always take an extra hard look at math programs. It is easy to take math drills, throw them on a page, and add some pretty pictures to make it look like a quality program, but there is no fluff here. Math Mammoth deserves recognition for its ability to create a truly high quality math program.
Each chapter begins with a description of concepts being taught, giving the teacher an overall understanding of the chapter goals. The worksheets themselves include instructions for the student that are clear. A strong self starter will easily be able to start her work alone. When necessary, parents will easily be able to jump in, read along, and help guide the student. Each chapter ends in a review. An answer book is supplied for all of the problems.
Visually, the pages are easy to follow. Some color is used, but only enough to help you focus on the section in use. The page is broken into boxes, which I think helps reduce the "overwhelmed" feeling that can come...

These drill sheets are fabulous. You've taken such a basic idea and turned it into a product which is so orderly and logical. These worksheets are so much better than anything that I could have produced. I'm asking myself, "These are so simple and effective, so why didn't I think of this idea?"

This is a really cute lapbook. It is nicely done with great additions that create great writing exercises as well as great conversation or interview material for child and grandparent. Very nice.

I bought this lapbook for my 4th grade daughter, and we are both loving it. I've found that most of the information needed to complete the lapbook is included but some of it is vague and doesn't go into the detail required. When this happens, I've found an excellent teaching opportunity for my daughter. We just hit the internet, encyclopedia, or history books for as much information as we can find. She has been able to answer so many of her own questions! And I've learned so much I didn't really know or may have forgotten. As the project comes together, she gets so excited and wants to share it with anyone who will listen. It is a fun and attractive addition to our history curriculum....

Rabbit Hill, the unit study, was a great project for us. My 10 year old was challenged by some of the vocabulary words and the writing assignments. He was able to read through the book and work the lessons by himself. I appreciated the chapter reviews and the book summary assignments. It was a bonus that we could check out the book at our local library and didn't have to buy it. I will purchase more curriculum like this!
Sincerely,

hi, i tried to order this and a few others. Then put in all my information. then it went to this screen that says it is for review. I think it is a technical error somehow. I don't want to put in my credit card information again unless i know it will not be charged to me twice thanks!
let me know what i did wrong and what i can do about it.

The greatest strength of Math Mammoth Multiplication 1 lies in the various ways it explains the concept of multiplication. I felt it was perhaps a little weak in the area of drill, but drill workbooks are a dime a dozen at the local super store. I also have supplemented with a skip counting CD. Math Mammoth Multiplication 1 is DEFINITELY worth the money!
