This copywork book comes in a new font ball and stick type manuscript.

It first starts off with 5/8" lines of printed manuscript to copy then it also has 1/2'' printed

manuscript to copy. Each verse of the song and introduction to the hymn has both the 5/8" and

1/2" manuscript writing. And as you child gets better at his manuscript writing he/ she can

progress to the 1/2" lines. So have your children practice ther handwriting and learn this wonderful hymn.

Another Creative Writing/History elective, one for every day of the year.  After all, on what day is there not millions of birthdays!

Starting with a recommended reading and viewing list, the course then dives into "What is a birthday".  Ways that birthdays are celebrated are investigated, including rites of passage  and remembrances.  The student researches and discovers many historical figures born on the same day as the student.  Three of these famous people are selected by the student for additional research.  This improves research skills, as well as allowing the student to feel more a part of the important day, their own birthday.

Then the student is guided step-by-step through the authoring of two original stories.  The first is about one of the well-known people born on the day of the student's birth.  The second story is a fictional tale about the student and his own birthday.  All the important elements of good story writing are detailed, as the student creates each story element by element!  This culminates in a "reading" of the student's new stories before a few family and friends.  Finally, the student looks at the past year, and makes plans for the next one, using a structured and fun approach.
