I absolutely love this ebook! I have been raising a family for a decade now. Throughout that time I have explored many ways to provide for them...educationally, nutritionally, emotionally, etc. However, doing the job well is not always easy, and new ideas for how to create a nurturing home are always helpful.
Preschool Activities in a Bag gives you all of the information you need to make your own, easy-to-grab activities for your young child. What's more is that it specifically tells you how to coordinate a group swap for these activities. With the right people and a little dedication and organization, you can have 40 new activities ready to keep your preschooler stimulated and happy.
I am looking forward to organizing a swap of my own. We'll have fresh ideas with a low-cost yield just in time for the new school year!...

This simple game is a fun way for children to learn to recognize the parts of speech. There is nothing "fancy" about it, but that's what makes it so nice. The game board is a simple, hand drawn snail. It's cute, doesn't require any assembly, and doesn't take a lot of ink to print. There are also five pages of game cards to print and cut out, and a page listing the rules of the game. Add your own game pieces (you can use pennies or buttons) and you can be playing this game fifteen minutes after you download it. My six year old added this to the lapbook she is making about the parts of speech, and she has enjoyed playing it with her sisters and brothers. It would be nice if the game included a pocket you could make to hold the game cards, but otherwise it is a great product....

Love it!
I don’t just love the looks of it; we actually took this one for a test flight. We spent about 3 weeks with Amanda Bennett’s Flight Unit Study, and I can say- we LOVED IT!
I love that each day is structured. You still have to pick and choose what exactly you will do (like you would with any unit study), but each day you get words of wisdom (vocabulary), today’s quote (copy work), interesting people & places to explore, and questions to read and discover. You definitely need to use the internet (great link suggestions provided) or library (tons of good book suggestions provided) in order to complete this study.
This unit is written for two levels (lower and upper-- we used the lower); you get everything I posted about for each level for each day. The unit is written to last four weeks, but you can shorten it if you don’t want to spend that long.
We had a ton of fun learning about Leonardo, Icarus, The Wright Brothers, The Montgolfier Brothers, Amelia Earhart, Be...

Always sure to delight, Teacher Book Bag has another hit with its First Steps Reading. The first book introduces the "-at" word family. Teaching children to read words with a common stem helps them to move beyond sounding out each word, to automatic recognition of components in words that makes reading possible. Working with onset and rime is an essential step in early literacy, one that is well addressed in this colourful 38-page book.
First Steps Reading has a wide variety of activities - from straight reading to cut and paste, from word finds to word blocks that help children to recognize words by their shape. Altogether there are about a dozen fun activities to do with children, including two books to read and a folder game to assemble and play. Activities can be accomplished quickly, making them ideal for short attention spans.
Some activities offermore than one level of difficulty, so a child can come back and try a slightly more challenging activity as he grows more confi...

Even though the temperatures dip down low in the winter, it doesn't mean that nature study outdoors still isn't possible!
The e-book starts off with an overview of all of the included topics and activities, as well as tips and ideas for stretching it further for both younger and older children. The unit study launches with stories about snow and ice....peaking the initial interest of your kids and getting a good base of what all they'll be learning about. The "A Bit of Background" section is informational and comprehensive and gives an overview into the science why & how of winter, snow, and ice. Terrific outdoor activities are included next....a whole host of things to get you out and about.
There are a host of hands-on science experiments, ideas for drawing in a nature journal, instructions for fun craft projects (such as embroidery and ice candle making), a recipe for making homemade ice cream (without a freezer), writing and research topics, and much, much more. Bible lesso...
