From Plagues to Passover Lapbook; God's Story of Redemption

This captivating lapbook uncovers the WHY behind the 10 plagues and Passover.  The plagues are so much more than an interesting story, they are a prophetic picture of God’s desire to deliver His people from the grip of the enemy.  The plagues were used by God to wake up the government and the people of Egypt so they could recognize Who He is.  It is a story that we and our children must understand because God is doing it again now, before Jesus comes.  The Passover then symbolizes how God is bringing redemption to His people.  This story is the Old Testament counterpart to the Book of Revelation that is being lived out in these last days.

First, we will take a brief look at the call of Moses and how God chose him to confront Pharaoh and lead the people through this turbulent time out of Egypt and through the wilderness.

Secondly, we will examine how God used the plagues to reveal Himself to Egypt and to judge the land, the people and the gods.  Many of the Egyptians realized that the God of the Hebrews was the REAL God and ended up leaving Egypt with them.  (Ex 12:38)

Thirdly, we will delve into the rich symbolism of the three spring feasts, Passover, Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits.  It is a beautiful picture of the complete redemption that has come to us through the true Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ the Messiah.

Lapbooks provide a fun and creative way for our children to sort and group the things they are learning.  They have freedom to design their own book with their own flair.  All the instructions you need to assemble and construct the lapbook are included.  Because writing notes in the booklets is a key component of this lapbook, it is best used with children that are 3rd grade and up.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
