Three Arrows for the King
The Archer's Guide
3.5 Revision
Written By: M Jason Parent & Neal Levin
Page Count: 50 pages
Cover Art by: Jason Chambers
Illustrated by: Patrik Almquist, Tony Monorchio, Gillian Pearce & Christian Spalthoff

Everything you need for archery in your fantasy d20 game can be found in this 50 page PDF. Not just a fighter variant, the archer surpasses even the fighter with the bow, but lags behind in melee combat. The archer class also easily handles crossbowmen, javelineers, and even those who would prefer to fight via a thrown knife in the back.

This is the revised version of Three Arrows for the King, incorporating new material for the Archer-Ranger class to keep it in line with the 3.5 revised ranger class, as well as introducing a new Archer multi-class progression ('character build') for the Distant Killer, and Archer-Assassin-Sniper multiclass. In addition this edition includes minor errata and corrections and minor 3.5 revisions.

  • The revised Archer class
  • The revised Archer-Ranger variant class
  • Character backgrounds
  • Four multi-class paths including the Distant Killer
  • 8 Prestige Classes
  • 1 Legendary Class
  • 27 Feats
  • New archery equipment
  • Larger and smaller bows
  • Mightier than +4 strength composite bows
  • New magic items
  • A massive selection of magical bows and arrows

The PDF edition of Three Arrows for the King comes with two editions of the product, one in colour with extensive bookmarks for screen use, and one in black & white with reduced header and footer graphics for easy printing without chewing through ink cartridges.

I was very disappointed with this PDF. The formatting was awkward. Too much of the book was taken up with prestige/alternate classes. The magic items have great descriptive text, but not much in the way of game statistics. I?ve looked at this PDF [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
