The Spell Reference Library
The Spell Reference Library puts over 500 spells at your fingetips. All of the spells from the System Reference Document are included.

All of the spell information is present on the first screen. Level, range, duration, saves, spell resistance; it's all right there for you.

The Target, Effect, Area tab shows you the full effect of your spell.

The Description tab shows the full text description of the spell.

/p>

You can search the Spell Reference Library easily by just entering a couple letters and clicking Go:. Highlight the spell you want, click the Show button, and you're taken to the full detail of the spell as shown above.

You'll have all your spells instantly at your fingertips! No more searching through books!

Note: To Change/Add/Delete spells from the Reference Library requires the Windows desktop program DM's Familiar.

Character Maintenance
You use the Character Maintenance section to enter your PC and any spellbooks that PC has.

Use PC's Familiar to track as many characters as you like.

/p>

Each character can have mutliple spellbooks. You've got a Bard/Cleric/Harper Scount/Teamster? No problem in PC's Familiar.

b>Spell Lists
Each spellbook hasa spell list. These are all of the spells contained in the spellbook.

The Spell List shows you all the spells you know, the level of each spell, and how many of that spell you have prepared. (L1/P1 of the Mage Armor means it is a Level 1 spell and 1 is prepared). Domain spells show with a "*" so you'll know those.

The "Sort Name" option will sort the spells by name or by level.

The "Show All" option will let you filter the displayed spells. You can show all your spells, only prepared spells, only level 1 spells, etc.

Highlight a spell and the DC for that spell is shown at the bottom. Click the "Show" button and you're taken to the full detail for the selected spell.

Press the "Cast" button and the prepared spell count will be decreased. "Cast" handles memorized and non-memorized spellbooks for you!

System Requirements: PC's Familiar will run on any Palm Operating System Device, Version 2.0 or higher

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
